my music

Only 2 days left and we'll have our sem break...
only 2 weeks of break...
been trying to finish my final project for illus fundamentals,
but the computer keeps on distracting me...and now i'm addicted to videos!
until i have to put a BIG stickie written: Gambateh! Don't stop drawing!

been watching "Nodame Cantabile" recently.
it's a series about classical music students...
it motivates me as well as makes me depressed about my own music standard...
nowadays i hardly have the patience to practise classical music anymore.
probably i have no pressure, because i no longer have a teacher to push me..
i used to be able to play "Fantasie Impromptu", "Flight of the Bumble-bee",
but i never completed them...
because...even if i did, what use would it be? i won't be able to perform or anything.
last time i used to practise music for the pupose of passing exams..
now that i have gone through all, there's no meaning in practising for me....
well, exam or not, i shouldn't be thinking that way...
since i never got my grade 8 cert anyway...
i don't even have my cert to prove that i have grade 8 qualification.
i'll forever be an amateur pianist.

i just downloaded Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue piano solo version,
but when i saw that it had 31 pages altogether,
my heart sank...
it's a 10-minute song.
i doubt i would ever get to complete it.
as i watch videos of pianists performing onstage...
i wonder if i would ever be like them...
it seems impossible...
but with God in my life,
i will never know.
Everything is possible for God.
